We’ve got some great, no-cost seminars coming up as we head into summer in San Francisco! We generally provide these trainings at noon, so you should feel free to bring a brown bag lunch or grab some takeout on the way in. Here are the exciting offerings we have on the schedule in May and June:
Capturing your Data Universe
Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 12pm – 1pm
With more and more of your organizational data existing in “the cloud” every year, it’s easy to feel like your data has been scattered to the four winds! Participants in this interactive seminar will create maps to track where all of their data lives online, learn strategies and best practices for continued tracking and backing up, and identify and patch potential vulnerabilities.
Building a Listening Dashboard
Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 12pm-1pm
This hands-on, learner-driven session will teach you how to set up and maintain a listening dashboard, a tool for understanding who and what is driving traffic to your website, who is mentioning your organization and talking about the issues that you care about, and whether or not your online communications strategy is working. We recommend you bring your laptop if possible, although we will also have some available if you’re not able to bring one.
Online Advocacy Training
Tuesday, July 9, 2013
This exciting, collaborative training is for community activists, social justice rock stars, and their allies to learn about tactics to translate online advocacy into an organized presence on the ground. We’ll talk about new ways to view your engagement as both conversation and narrative. We also encourage you to bring your own challenges and experiences to share with the group.
We hope to see you soon at the Tech Center!
