The Tech Center was home to Weaponized Social in San Francisco, hosted by Aspiration on May 16 and 17. In a world where negative online interactions are increasingly resulting in offline harms, we strived to re-think the social scripts (i.e., learned patterns of interaction) that shape the online realm.
We built guides for creating safe online space, explored tactics for digital conflict resolution, and re-imagined the social norms that permeate the web. We had the first Weaponized Social in New York City, the second in Nairobi, and San Francisco was the third. You can browse the current work in progress in the Weaponized Social Wiki.
